It's opened my eyes to a few ideas: the way the author talks about living under foreign military occupation. "Don't become a refugee" he says. "Refugees die."

i'm all for running away from a war - but this is definitely a uni-directional thing. Nobody in their right mind would run away to libya, the locals would kill us non-muslem infidels. So why do we let them run FROM?
