Do any of you still prep, or did you ever?

Due to some events, I cut down over half my orchard. I sold many of my preps. Kept the basics like grinders, the other half of my orchard, GHB, and other necessities. I have not actively prepped in a long time, though.

What about the rest of you? I was never sure if DSers actually prepped or where there for the intellect.

Yeah I prep, have done since 98 it's not something I'm conscious of doing I don't go overboard.

We grow some but "deprepped" because we had the house up for sale, after failing to sell the house and deciding to remain here for another couple of years it's been a lean year in the garden this year, next year will be better.
I only keep 2-3 months food on hand.
I actively forage and try a few primitive traps occasionally, mainly live catch because of legalities.
Very keen on bushcraft and primitive survival.

I lean towards knowledge over gear which is why I'm out of the loop on several "survival" forums.

I prep. I could probably last through a 4-6 month siege and not change the way I'm eating now. If I tightened my belt, I could probably last a year.

Like smudge, my garden wasn't that great this year due to way too much rain. Hopefully next year will be better

I let the garden go this summer. We could live on LTS for 6 months if supplemented with what we have in the cabinets.

I have a couple good knives. That's all you really need.

I'm a firm believer in never bring a knife to a gun fight. I'm sure it's different for a man, but I don't want to be in hand-to-hand combat with someone a foot taller than me.

Foot taller isn't a problem, it's when they're a foot wider and it doesn't wobble you wanna worry

That's another problem. 5'1 and not too brawny. Guns for me.

I've been prepping since 1981. Haven't done much lately but I have food for over a year, nice stockpile of weaponry and emergency items such as first aid, light sources, cooking stuff, fire starters, water purification, etc, and I have 6 BOBs. Plant a garden every year and eventually plan on doing some canning

I'll admit I had a wtf moment at this.

Been prepping (hate that term) since the eighties, and do lots of gardening.
Growing your own food can be a hassle, but yanking out the weeds is good therapy.

I do not prep, prepare, nor am I a survivalist or bushcrafter.

I do however amass the knowledge and resources to minimize my dependence on external resources and inferior mass produced goods and create that independence through self reliance based on intelligence, fitness, and the necessary gear.

Meanwhile.....remembering to stock up on the snacks while I sit back and watch the world burn.

                            Organic veggies and some herbs.
I grow mostly OP varieties, but have no ill will towards hybrids.

I'm organic too. I only did corn, green beans, tomatoes, peas and a few onions this year. Rained so much I couldn't get anything in the ground until end of June
