    Pickle Question

Three years past their best by date. They smell and feel fine.
    Unopened and not refrigerated.

    Safe to eat, or not?
    I don't know.

They're in an acidic/salty brine. I would think they should be OK, but that's just a wild guess.

Don't listen to me on this topic - defer to those who know about canning.

They should be fine as long as the brine isn't cloudy.

Are you saying that you don't want me to die, or you that you want to be able to blame it on someone else?
        I don't know.

            Both.

Bottom line - don't listen to me on this stuff!

Cloudy Brine is both a hippy chick I dated in high school, and an alternative band I follow.

              I hope that helped.

It means don't eat the pickles.

                  Bacteria.

Thanks. That's what I meant. What specifically causes the brine to be cloudy.

I will try to be more precise in my language.

                    Thank you for the iinformation.

Don't succumb to this peer pressure, gamgee. Dump the brine down the sink, not in your veins!

                              Harvey.

Dump it - not worth the risk.
