We have a metal grill at work similar to what is found in state parks. No one uses it but me. A while back they mentione how expensive charcoal is. How long it takes to heat, etc.
I bought a $3 flank steak this morning. Poured some tomatoe & jalepeno salsa in a bowl and left to marinate. Went in the yard and gathered oak limbs. Broke them up and stuffed the grill. Shoved a blow torch under it and nuked the wood. Went inside for the meat. Came out and grilled in 5 minutes. Whole process seemed to take less time than typing this.
I dont explain this method to them because I want there to be plenty of wood in the yard.
