Something to think about if you carry a firearm

I wonder if the shooter will get sued when the police find them?

this is why anything that goes with me ccw comes out. I have some friends that keep ar's in a lockbox on the inside top of their truck caps in the back. I cant stress how stupid it is to do that. If you are out doing something its one thing if attending the truck/car, but you open yourself to stuff like this, or worse yet your shit gets jacked anyway.

I've never understood this leaving guns in a car/truck.

I don't think the witness who accidentally shot the victim would face prosecution in my area, but he would face tremendous civil liability. BTW, we have open carry, concealed carry without permit in a purse or briefcase, plus a vehicle is an extension of your home and you can carry concealed in your vehicle.
Give a man a match, & he'll be warm for 20 seconds. But toss that man a white phosphorus grenade and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Wellllll, in CA if you have a loaded firearm in your vehicle without a CCW, it's a felony. That's why my Mini-14 is in one place and the loaded mags in another. Wont stop a car jacking but I don't go where car jacks are prevalent anyway!
But if the SHTF I have my guns with me!

I don't worry about ccw, etc. I'm female, little, and will throw myself on the mercy of the Court. With a lot of eyelash fluttering and a few crocodile tears

I drove my vehicle for about two months before I found that is has a very cool secret compartment. I've always been one of those rather-have-it-and-not-need-it than need-it-and-not-have-it types.

I was police chief for the town adjoining me before health took a nose dize. With the lack of criminal intent and the true intent of preventing one of the 5 inherent deadly acts of violence, I can't see it happening. Remember, we are the very rural south. A loct of our penal code is still based upon the 1898 Criminal Code.

Sorry if I came off as an ass, I realize y'all have different situation in CA (lived there over a year) and in the NE.

I don't believe the good samaritan laws cover shooting the victim then trying to cover up the crime, all jury sympathy is lost when they fled. I don't know if CCW classes sufficiently cover fields of fire, but I generally tend to suspect the class is geared towards self defense and not supplementing as a citizen police officer. Not that cops shoot much better many times.
