    name! I need you! :D

I need your free advice dude.

A piece of land, 1/2 acre, with a gradient of 3:4. yeah. Goes up 3m, to every 4 m it goes across.

capable of being built on? I want to offer them really cheap $ for it. Nobody else is buying, but I'm having visions of some sort of hut. this is 1/2 acre of prime virgin New Zealand bush about 30 mins away from the central city.

so you can dig a nice flat area for your hut then. so the sheep can graze on the hills then?

not enough grass for sheep. You could if you totally deforested it, but then you don't have your bit of wilderness. it's east facing along a ridge, with a slight south tilt which in new Zealand is exactly the opposite of what you want. North being where the sun comes from. but there is a relatively level bit down the end of the property that you could build on and that is relatively north facing... Not very big though.

We don't have any native mammals but a bat. Our most dangerous creature is a katipo spider, and that just makes you barf. and only lives at the beach. Our scariest creature is probably the kea. those bastards can tear all the rubber off your car like licorice in a matter of minutes. So yeah, no need to keep it off the ground.

Neighbour's got a pitt bull though I guess. Big Scary pitt bull, it nearly licked me to death on the weekend.

With enough money you can build anywhere. A slope like that sounds like a pain in the ass. Cutting a flat area would require a large retaining wall, if it's rock then the labor costs will go up. Just think, that slope means you'll have a vertical cliff face nearly the size of the flat ground you create

Don't be telling lies. We know you're not a virgin.

You can run a forklift. Running a dozer isn't that much of a step up. And that clay content would make excellent rammed earth walls.
