    Two pairs of socks:

So, I finally tried the two pair of socks thing in my work boots. First I put on a thin pair of ankle socks then my regular mid-calf over that. At the end of a sweaty day the outer sock is wet and the inner one is dry. I should have done that a long time ago...

I had a buddy who's motto was... "if it ain't skin, it don't go in!"

I never have tried the 2 pairs. Sounds like a good idea. I'm a big believer in Thorlo brand socks. They really work great for me.

I was very surprised at how well it worked out. The only problem was that I had to go buy more ankle socks.

Do you think I could use an ankle Under Armour sock for wicking?

                I wouldn't see why not.

is this an ad? I use standard merino boot socks when I can, and they wick moisture away quite well. have never felt my feet were wet taking them off.

Forgive me for asking, but are you male or female? The reason I ask, is because the male feet sweat a whole lot more on average than the females.

I'm not sure that anything really actually "wicks." I'm guessing that's just a sales pitch. I used a pair of ankle socks from Big Lots and a pair of socks from the Dollar General.

I don't know, I'm just talking about merino socks, and the way they wick moisture away and up the boot and out. I've never needed 2 pairs. Also pure wool socks don't give you toejam. Something about merino is antibacterial. Plus they don't smell: you can wear them every day for 3 days and get zero smell. Fantastic things.

That's a myth. Men don't sweat more, we just have more sweat glands. Women have fewer, but theirs are larger.

Unless you are busting your ass to support the sorry bitch. Then you might sweat more.
