Humans in winter climates should be allowed to hibernate.

When you touch the brake and the car slides, take your foot off the brake and steer instead - don't double down or you're fucked. That's all there is to it. Seriously.

Plus get off the fucking road. When you have no visibility and no traction the only reason you have to be on the road is if you're trying to get someone having a heart attack to the hospital.

This message brought to you by a Canadian. We don't know much but we know winter driving.

Seriously though, when you touch the brake and feel the car sliding let up on the brake right away. People who don't, die. Their cars fly right off the highway or into oncoming traffic.

And another thing, I'm a seasoned winter driver and it's very unlikely I'll cause an accident because of road conditions. But I'm at the mercy of other drivers. Some 17 year old who thinks he's immortal can come barreling at me at 100mph and hit a patch of ice..

I learned to drive on a frozen lake where I could practice getting out of a spin. And also feel the effects of going into a full spin then hitting the brakes. Kids in frozen climates would do well with ice training like that.

That would be fun (on a frozen lake).

I'd like to see them deal with the Florida black ice, as we call it.

                              It helps with driving.
