    CQB T-Hawks

Anyone into using these for self defense?

I use hatchets of course but, not as a CQB weapon.

Now been a little more interested. RMJ is releasing in August the Beserker Axe that design is based on the Viking ones.

    Pretty steep price though $580!!!

I've read where many people like the one from Cold Steel. But, the Beserker is pretty awesome.

I've never had a Tomahawk, though I want one for knocking around in the bushes. I'd probably go with something like this.

I don't engaged in hand to hand combat as often as I used to, but I definitely see the merit of them as a defensive tool. Multiple striking options is nice, along with the reach. Reach is good.
This sig didn't cost me any money.

As far as "tactical tomahawks" I don't like having that sharp point aimed at me on the back-swing.

                I don't like that either.

                That Gerber is nice.

I like the spike because it's a useful tool in addition to being a nice brain pick. However the blunt end on a hatchet makes for a nice substitute mallet.
