    Wood Weapons

Anyone into them, Jo, Bo, Bokken?

I think a sturdy hiking stick could be a good thing to have handy.

I vote for the good ol' Louisville Slugger.

I'm all about impact and bladed skills. I also like the old school PR 24.

I always have a cane with me and use it in my fence.

They fell out of favor in the 90's, but a whole lot of ass was kicked with those things back in the day.

I think the Japanese wooden sword is pretty neat weapon. I liked that scene in the Last Samari where Tom Cruise got his ass beat with one.

That is why I carry a gun.

A walking cane is the first weapon that most Kenpo studios teach because they are commonplace, legal, don't arouse suspicion, and over 90% of the techniques you learn with them translate directly to sword techniques later on.

Noteworthy as well is that Miyamoto Musashi, Ronin and author of the Book of Five Rings, killed several samurai in duels armed only with a bokken. His opponents were wielding katana or nodachi.

The weapon doesn't make the man, the man makes the weapon.
