good morning chum! I am on day 2 of 5 days off. I finished my chore list yesterday morning. So I have nothing but relaxing in mind till Monday.

I guess its good. At least I woke up. Today I'm taking the young'un to the springs. I bought an annual pass to state parks and we've been swimming there every day this week.

Good morning buddies.
I am off today, but I still plan to go into work this morning. Apparently a young mallard was dumped off at the lake,probably someones easter gift for their kid, then they realized it was a duck, and ducks don't make house pets. dumb asses. The little duck will never survive there. There are two Pekin ducks that always bully the mallards for some reason, and I mean bully. All the other mallards have been pushed to a different area of the lake. I really want to stay home today, and rationalize, it is the wild and let the wild take it's course. But No, I can't stop thinking about it, so I am going to get that little mallard and put him in the boat and take him to the mallard hide out, and hope the other mallards will look out for him. But That is all I can do, he going to have to figure out how to be wild, or he'll be fox food.
People really piss me off when they try to domesticate animals, then set domesticated animals wild. ugh!

But Planting red basil seeds sounds fun too.

Been scarce lately -laid my mom to rest a few days ago. Weeks of cleaning and preparing to get ready for company who came up for the service. Tired.

My aunt had a little farm when we were kids. Chickens, ducks, goats, a few crops. I 'd play with the animals, they were my friends. I was almost inseparable with one duck. So my aunt let me keep in the house as long as it didn't poop on the floor. So I made diapers out of paper napkins and we'd play in the house. I loved that little guy.

I finished up my camping trip with a 4 hour kayak fishing trip this morning. I was having a ball until my kayak flipped about 40 minutes from the destination. Lost my fancy small fishing rig.

Only deep hole for over a hundred yards either direction and that's where it happened. My hiking stick didn't float either.

I am pretty pissed off, but shit happens in the great outdoors

My morning was good, put in a dimmer switch, ate steak n eggs, caulked some cracks, split wood now having a cocktail. Good times.
