Pipe Making

Has anyone ever make a pipe and I don't mean corn cob either.

I have thought about making one for some time. Read Briar Wood is excellent for the bowl. Never heard of it, so I looked it up. The tree grows in the Mediterranean area and is quite pretty looking wood.
