    2016 Bows

Well I have pretty much decided on a Mathews Halon 6. Going with black even though there is a $50 up charge.

My last flagship bow was the Mathews Z7. It's a great bow. Last year I got Hoyts midline bow the Charger.. It's a sweet shooter.

2016 Hoyts midline bow is the PowerMax. They made improvements on the Charger. So, the PowerMax should be a hell of a bow for $500.

The bride has a southpaw Challenger II, I've got the Challenger.

We haven't any need to get new ones.

I'm sticking with my Z7xtreme for a while. Sure, there are faster bows out there, but this one is super accurate and has a lot of blood on it.

If I was going after a 2016 bow, I would definitely be looking at the Hoyts and PSE. They are lighter, faster, and just look better than Mathews.

Kinda funny how PSE has come along way since the days of "plastic shooting equipment"

Not sure why I wrote PSE. They are ok too, but I totally meant to write Bowtech.

My first Super bow was the PSE Mach 4 something like that with a overdraw. Had the PSE Magnaflight smaller cam.

I was first considering the Hoyt Defiant this time around, but I'm reading much better reviews on the Halon.

Gonna get a dozen GT Velocity Pros .400 spined. Have GT Pro Hunter in 5575 and 3555s and I really like them.

Fletched with Blazer vanes (I like white & white tiger stripe), should be a great combo.

I run Easton bloodline 400s. They are fantastic arrows. At 29", with a 100gn tip, I am at 388gn.

Easton makes good arrow shafts, all my aluminum ones have been Easton. Never used their Carbons, but I'm sure they are top notch.

For deer hunting I have 100gr G5 T3 mechanical heads.

I like the HHA Optimizer Ultra Lite 5519. I zero for 25yds and that covers me out to 30yds aiming center. Over 30 out here is wishful thinking unless I do alot of trimming and thats frowned on in the National Forest.

                      @bowclan

Bought and had 200 fletched for the bride and I a few years back at the Dixie Deer Classic.

Figure they will last a life time.

I'm still shooting a 1980 warthog with autumn oranges and koplin heads. I did pick up a horse ow a few years ago, made in Mongolia.

Never will trust PSE after their crossbow disaster in the 90s

                            We don't shoot PSE.

Parkers, went to their family factory in Va, had ours made on site.

swampbilly 200 should last a life time. Unless of course we get a zombie invasion.

rover didn't know that about PSE crossguns. Don't shoot those contraptions. I've had many Autumn Orange 2117 XX75s, great shaft.
