I don't fish much, but I do keep an emergency fishing kit similar to this in my backpack.

I've never tried this before, but looks like it would work. I'm guessing it pretty easy to make one of these slingbows.

The creek that runs through my property has native cutthroats, but I don't fish them. I don't want to deplete them. The fall run salmon and winter salmon-yeah. :-) It's a small run and under the radar so dirtbags don't wander in.
