What type of line, and pound test, would you recommend for stream, river, and lake fishing, if using only a stick and a hook?

550 paracord with a 6 foot 120 lb steel leader and 30/0 sized treble hooks.

I would also add about 1.5 pounds of weight to it, melted into the base of the hook.

That way when you sneak up on a fisherman you can almost ensure that he wont be able to break free.

Then you will get fish, and gear and a nice long pig roast to enjoy by the water.

Probably the bait used most at that time will be bits of flesh from decomposing corpses. Therefore, a size eight hook would be recommended. As TK already stated, the gazillion spools of paracord we all will be stuck with should then be unravelled to about a 6 pound test strength. We will have the women do the unravelling since they will need to do something useful and they don't know how to cook these days.

With that pocket fisherman and a fishing license you can legally open carry in Florida.
