    Can't Wait

I might plant some spinach and peas soon, even if I have to shovel snow to do it.
    I don't know.

Today is the first day the light changed. Angle of the sun is just a little different. Brighter light, spring is coming !

Well, the full moon is the 22nd or thereabouts, so there is that to consider. I would plant prior to that date.

            Close.

            Wererabbits.
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!

I planted the 1st of April last year and my maters didn't produce as they should have. I wonder if it was the late rain or spray watering that prevented proper pollination or maybe because I had 4 different kinds that prevented proper pollination. This year I'm waiting till the first of May and plant only one kind and see what happens.
                Screw diplomacy...........bring it!

                  Have you referenced your almanac?

i would go third week of April with two kinds. To each their own.

                  Good luck.

Long-range weather forecasts, gardening tips, and full Moon dates—as well as bits of folklore that spark conversation. Plan ahead with our calendars. See the best days to plant, fish, and more!

I saw rabbits today, I'm not sure if they were wererabbits. My dog didn't see them, again. She's suspect as a huntress.

Not sure if they put it down to magnetics or gravitational pull, but there's a thing where you plant green crops at full moon, and root crops at new moon. I haven't got that far into it but if you're going to plant on some basis, you may as well give it a shot.

actually it makes no sense. Gravitational pull has to do with time of day (tides). new and full moons mean nothing gravitationaly-wise-speaking. And therefore surely magnetically-wise-speaking.

I wonder what the logic behind it is.

I don't know if there's any real scientific basis to it but the folk wisdom in my part of the world is that you plant your garden after the first full moon in June to avoid frost.
