    Nothing grows at our place.

Well.... taters do, tried carrots and turnips but nope. That sort of surprised me. Oh, red currant and rhubarb grow as well. When that day comes I will live on taters and pig. Because wild hogs have found our place and oink about at night and make holes. My friend says I am not allowed to kill one of them because I will get hurt. But seriously if needed there must be a way. Have no guns BTW.

The best way to take care of wild hogs is to sit in a tree with a lasso around a pile of corn. When the hog starts to eat it, jerk the rope and hang it. Most folks tie the end of the rope around their waist to make sure the hog doesn't get away.
Give a man a match, & he'll be warm for 20 seconds. But toss that man a white phosphorus grenade and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Bladesmith is trying to kill you Speedy, don't listen to him. Buy a gun. I understand you have to pass a safety course over there and not be a criminal. I don't think you're a criminal and you seem plenty smart enough to pass a course. Firing and caring for a rifle isn't rocket science. Then I suggest a .270, that will take care of business. You don't want the animal to run off and suffer like those idiots that use a .22. You want a clean quick kill.

        Fuck the .270; use a .308 or a 30-06

How big are the hogs anyway?

I use a .22lr (it's my only gun at the moment), for small game. I wouldn't dick with it, unless I really had to; for any bigger game.

I took down an elephant in Tanzania with a .270. Do you know what a .270 can do? If you can't fuck up a pig with a .270 you need to check yourself into a retirement home. Make sure to surrender your man card at the door.

I took down an elephant with a crossbow, your argument is invalid.

            Don't you go to Cabela's?

But it sounded fun! FYI I do have a brain that I use from time to time.

Yea, it is easy to buy a gun here if you pass the test, it is theory and a shooting test. The shortest class I would have to take would cost way too much at least right now though. It would be nice to have a gun but looking at the cost of those classes... ugh nope. I could simply sign up at a gun club but those aren't free either. It's something I could do if I can hoard some more money.

                Save yer pennies.

Our tests are $50-100; somewhere in between there. Can't remember.

                Not much scratch at all.

If you need help with practicing for the test here they have a class for that, 900 USD. Not sure what the test itself costs but the test itself isn't that expensive.

Go vegan. it's cheap and you don't have to worry about how to handle an entire gamey wild pig.

Which taste disgusting I have to say.

When you're used to farmed pig, wild pig is a bit much.

That's why you trap them, nut them, and feed them corn for a couple of months to clean them out and get rid of the gameyness.

I wish we had wild hogs here. That would be some fun hunting. I believe I could make the backstrap into pretty good eating and the hind would make dandy sausage.

Yea go vegan. I just said that the only thing growing at my place if I would have to flee there one day, is taters. Yup I should eat taters all day long, all day every day. Even collecting apples and berries wouldn't help much. I kind of don't like to starve.
