Ankle Holsters

Anyone here use one?

I am finally breaking down and getting a hand gun (under great protest but this place is like the wild west anymore). It will be a small gun and I want an ankle holster.

I've been reading and the sites say it goes on the inside of your ankle opposite your dominant hand. WTF? Tony Soprano had the cutest ankle holster and it was on the outside of his leg.

This also needs to be small enough for a woman's leg. And if possible, I'd like to be able to get some cash and a credit card in there too. (Tis the season and the news is full of nothing but women held up at gunpoint in parking lots, women car jacked, knocked to the ground and robbed, etc.).

Any hints, tips, sites?

I'd suggest against them, but I do know people that like them. Having seen your loooong, luscious legs, I don't know if it's a good idea for you. I say a small frame revolver with an inside the waistband holster might be better for your body type.

I agree with Harvy, it's a bad idea. I think instead you should look into a good shoulder rig or perhaps make one yourself that works with a skirt/garter belt if possible.

I also would recommend the S&W Defender in 32acp. Which does magical things when 32 cap pens soft tissue...

Night, you opened up a can of worms here. Requests for skirt and ankle shots..

My late sister tried carrying on her body, couldn't stand it. Ended up carrying in her purse. If you want to carry on your body and the ankle isn't comfortable, maybe a body holster.

Best place for a woman to carry is small of the back or a special made purse for a gun.
You could even pull off yoga pants and a butt bag.
If I was you I'd buy a sig226 and a nice Coach Edie Sholder bag, bags about $245 on line.
