They're manufacturing this pistol in Huntsville, Al at a new facility. I have handled one, but not fired it. It seems nice, but doesn't jump out of the pack of so many similar .380 pocket pistols. Here's a review from Gunblast:

Give a man a match, & he'll be warm for 20 seconds. But toss that man a white phosphorus grenade and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

I don't know how to feel about it.

For a woman, it would be OK. But I would get the Glock 42 .380 before this.

      Just my.02
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!

Personally, I carry a Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 SPL. If I was really serious about concealed carry for UC, I would look at the Taurus Curve with the integrated laser and light. Of course, there is always the Kahr P380 to consider.

Ammunition choices are a concern with the .380. One school of thought goes with the FMJ to compensate for the notorious limited penetration of .380 expanding ammunition. Another group likes the +P or +P+ ammo. I lean towards the hot rodded. You can't shoot many rounds in training because it will wreck your frame. It's basically train with ammo within SAAMI specs and carry the hot loads for defense. Here's a video of the Grizzly Xtreme ammo.

Here's a video G2 RIP ammo. I've heard of several guys taking pulling these bullets and reloading at higher velocities. At their present velocities, they're getting about 10 inches.

Yea I have some of that RIP ammo. Haven't shot it. Cause it is so expensive.

For my conceal carry I have a Glock 23 in .40. I just don't like 9mm or its cousin the .380. For the amount of additional recoil, .40 has such better ballistics. I use Winchester Black Talons, or as they are called today Ranger SVT.

I have more than one concealed carry. The one that is with me always...... ALWAYS..... is a 22mag 5 shot revolver.

At close distances (I think it is 12 ft or less) 22mag has the same ballistics as 9mm So I have this 5 shot pistol that I can hide in my shirt pocket.

I've seen what a NAA revolver can do. We had a juvenile detention officer killed with one a kid had concealed in his boot. Also. the Marshall County Sheriff was killed by one in a traffic stop. That being said, I don't subscribe to the belief the .22WMR is as effective as the 9mm. The .22WMR was designed for rifles and when fired out of the NAA revolvers, they only produce velocities in the 600 to 800 fps range. Couple that with a max bullet of only 45 gr, you aren't going to touch a 9mm.

Naturally, opinions on guns are just like politics.

yeah, I understand. The ballistic test I saw was out of a revolver at 12 to 15 feet. And the drop off at 15 was staggering.

But it was out of a revolver, just a full size one.

Like I said I have a few conceal carries. This one is in my mind, the back up last resort. I can carry it anywhere you can carry a cell phone basically. (barring metal detectors LOL)

So while I am happy to have a single stack 45, I like too that I can get this in places no other firearm could go.

Yea...it depends. I carry a NAA that folds up and has a clip or a 3" .45 favoured in Colt or Kimber

.45 acp are good. Much better than 9mm. Only thing is that .45 is going sooooo slooow.

Thats the the reason I am a fan of .40 because it is the best of both world, IMO.
