    Revolvers:

They get no love, but I'm a big believer in them for new shooters and those that don't shoot a thousand rounds a week.

If I knew what I was talking about, I'd suggest a .357 since you can shoot both .38's and .357 with it.

I carried a 3" Ruger SP101 38+p in one of my Bianchi holsters for many years usually loaded with Winchester 125 grain hollow points.

It isn't a .357 model but the little extra barrel length and sight radius made it easy to hit at 50 yards when shooting with my little Brother with his .357 snub SP101.

I've put many thousands of rounds down range with revolvers since the 70s and still shoot them pretty well but he could out shoot me with a rifle and iron sights

One of his high school friends called recently and we were talking about all the times they would go to the old public range that was off of hwy 49 near Tuckertown reservoir with me and then go fishing at one of the nearby lakes and just make a day of it.

I carry a Ruger lcr .38+p with reloads on a Bianchi speed strip or two these days because I just don't want to carry a lot of weight.

            When I lived in Virginia, I had a Ruger LCR .357 and my wife's gun is a S&W air weight .38 +P.

Of course, since I moved back to NY, we obviously got rid of them.

When I was about 11 or 12 my Dad let me shoot his .38 special revolver and 12 gauge double barrel and I was smitten for life.

In the late 70s I bought my first revolver, a 7 1/2" Ruger Super Blackhawk.

The scope might be a bit much, but it sure looks bad ass!

I would suggest sticking with the basics. Leave the bells and whistles to the commandos over at the old place.
