I'm going to set up my work bench this weekend and organize all my tools. I've been watching a bunch of youtube videos trying to learn as much as possible.

I'm going to pick up a bench grinder this weekend and try to pull something together.

I found a place that sells 1/8"x2"x18" carbon steel blanks for $6 each.

Right now I'm trying to understand the process of hardening. I see some guys quench their stuff in oil, then I see some people send their blades out to be hardened. I'm under the impression those are just two different techniques for the same result more or less? Anyways, I found a local place that can harden things pretty cheaply.
