The Doors Gone Country

Not many people know that the rock band the Doors originally intended to record a country version of their song The Crystal Ship on their first album. It was nixed by the record company, but the lyrics still exist-

People are Strange is my daughters favorite Doors song.

Here's mine. Reminds me of mu Uncles, family nights when my grandparents (dads side) were still alive. Every Thursday night. When my uncles came back from Nam, it was either stories, cries, or frustrated temper tantrums or all 3. My uncle Tony really got fucked up.

They've gone modern classical too. Those of you who are The Doors' die hard fans, you would enjoy this album. Nigel Kennedy can play a lean, mean fiddle.
I bought this fantastic CD 15 years ago and loved it.
