Right side mirrors on autos.

This could be a rant topic or technology but who the fuck is the educated idiot who designed the right side mirror in which " objects may be closer than what they appear"? I don't want the fucking objects to appear farther away than they really are, I want them to appear how fucking close they really are! And why the fuck do all the auto makers have these abortions standard on their cars? God only knows how many accidents we've had when someone cuts somebody else off because they think they have proper clearance.

I don't notice any wider field of view. If folks would adjust their mirrors properly to eliminate the blind spot you wouldn't need no damned silly high tech bullshit!

Ya know Dukie, my new F-150 has two mirrors on the driver side. The regular plus a concave type ( which I like btw) that widens your view, but it's on the side you have the most vision anyway. Why the fuck don't they put at least the concave on the right side? These are college graduates that come up with this shit!

That doesn't make any sense. I like the little convex mirrors on the right, especially on larger vehicles.

but yes. There should be a legal level of shrink/magnify on wing mirrors that is CONSISTENT between cars. I bought a new car recently and nearly got cleaned up shifting into what I thought was an empty spot in another lane.

You could barely haul the chainsaw, gas, bar oil, etc. in the Prius.
