    Phrase translator

I have been dealing with craigslist, and in my area we have a lot of hispanic folks during season. So I found a website that translates, and seems really good. It does phrases in addition to single words. This is pretty important since sentence structure seems really odd and disjointed when you go word by word.

I don't know if any of you will be interested but:

I worked on the road installing fire sprinkler systems for a lot of years and found that two Spanish phrases covered most of my needs

        Donde esta el jefe

        Where is the boss

        and

Quiero dos hamburguesas y una coca cola por favor

I want two hamburgers and a coke

Dos (or Tres) tacos de barbacoa por favor. tortilla de harina no cilantro si saboya. salsa verde por favor.

That is the extent of my spoken Spanish. I can order the food I like, and that's it.

I used to be fluent in basic Spanish, but Arabic has fouled me up. At one point I used half and half and the recipient looked at me confused. I dropped Spanish fluency for Arabic, and right now it seems like the right call. InshaAllah

I know how to order beer in Spanish. Maybe some food. I did a speech in Spsnish at a wedding and had some horrified looks from the wedding party.

German in high school. I could get to a library for sure. And order beer.
