    I need some new tuneage...

The newest tunes I have are several years old.
I am old school, but have an open mind.
The one prerequisite is that the musicians have to be amazing.

I have performed "Trees" (bass and vocals), and "La Villa Strangiato" (bass), and both were passable (only passable), which brings me to my stringent taste in listening music. If I cannot readily play it, I usually like it.

The latest "find" was "Porcupine Tree". The live band is amazing, but that was several years ago.

Steven Wilson: "For me, tracks like "Every Home Is Wired" and "Dark Matter" totally transcend both genre and comparison. Finally, I think we are making a co...

The musicianship, arrangement, etc. are stoopid good.

Do any of you have anything that follows the preceding prerequisites?

Actually that's not bad. The musicianship is certainly there. That finger wiggling thing she does kinda creeps me out though.

They remind me of Pink Floyd.

If you're looking for something similar, Pandora can be helpful. For Porcupine Trees, they recommend:
            Blackfield
            Steven Wilson
            Opeth
            Riverside

I'm classically trained, play metal, and have a hard time with bluegrass, which is my true love in music. I would suggest bluegrass.

She's just twitchy when she drinks, but you only specified "tunes" so I figured it was ok.

                  Search " Florence Welch+covers " sometime
                  Lots of alternative songs.

                  But thanks for listening.
