I was out with a friend and my Brother on the yadkin river one night about 30 years ago. It was freaking cold out I remember, probably 25 degrees and sporadic sleet/freezing rain coming down. Yeah, we were young and dumb.
The motor wouldn't start back up so we set up a temporary camp on state game lands, made a fire, cleaned our catfish and rolled them around in the fire wrapped in foil. We ate them with our fingers after squeezing some lemons over them and it seemed like the best fish i ever ate.
We spent the next 4 1/2 hours rowing back to a neighborhood close to where we had put in. We went for breakfast and after sun up we went back for the boat.
Haha, Star created the emoji for me in honor of the virtual arrow in PK's ass. Yes, she really called the law on me. Those were some crazy times.
I once took a picture of me shooting an arrow at a picture of Sprout on my tree. He laughed. PK is so uptight.
I have a picture somewhere, let me see if I can find it.
Sprout was my forum nemesis for a while. He posted this picture of himself and I printed it off. Great times. I like him now though. He ended up to be a cool dude.

this is how I was raised to do it. Not a photo of me, one I found on the net, but shows the system really well.
Sometimes you have to improvise with how you will prop it up. IE doesn't have to be a rock. Often it's a log or something. Just whatever's around. You can pivot the billy how you like and get it off the fire easy too.
