        Sardines are delicious. Pavalova is delicious. Yet I can make that wild, brave leap that sardines on pavalova will not be delicious.

            Sardines mashed up on well-buttered toast, then sprinkled with salt.

            Sardine sandwiches on thickly cut fresh vienna loaf...

            the trick is not being stingy with the salt.

                  I like sardines, put a good coat of tabasco on them and chow down. Mustard on sardines is good too, just not the ones that come with mustard. No, sardines in water then add some mustard.

                    Don't hide the flavour in rubbish like tabasco. What's the point of tabasco? Just drink it straight man, toss yourself off and call yourself heman - and then eat your delicious delicious sardines without defilement, on cabin bread with salt.

                    No mustard either. What a crime.

                    Do it my way. or else. I think that's the new feminist ethic. if not sure we can always ask Slats!

                          You should have run this by gamgee first. I think he worked out an algorithm for smoked meat/cheese combinations. This would have been a No-Go in my book. But then, I'm not gamgee. He might green-light it.

                              I think the anti-sardine people would fit in nicely with the anti-gravy crowd.

                              There must be a dating site somewhere for these people. Or a support group.
