    How did religion form?

Religion is a creation of humans. A belief system in a god or gods that determines how humans should worship or live their lives. So how did the first religion form. Did somebody see a god? Did somebody talk to a god? Did somebody see an extraterrestrial and call it god. Or did somebody create stories of some supreme being in order to control the people for either malevolent or benevolent purposes?
Do we take the bible or Koran at face value and believe in a god because of what they say or did the Neanderthal start worshiping fire once they knew the benefits and the harm it possesses, and then it progressed from there?

The greatest of all illusionists, Andre Kole considered starting his own religion once.

He tried to duplicate the Miracles of Christ but there was one he said could not be duplicated.

You're going to have to scuse the cynicism, because here it comes.

It takes almost nothing to get people to believe in whatever you want. You have a child, the child is 3. it is asking questions constantly. "why is the" "how did the" ... ongoing.

Mummy makes up some stories. Automatically, as every mother does. We make up stories. "Well you see, the big sky god blows the wind and the ..."

We don't have an alternative. We're primeval creatures living in a cave. We have no idea why x y or z and this kid is driving us mental. They shut up when we tell stories. they love the stories. And it's kind of fun.

But the kids believe the stories far more wholeheartedly than we realised they would. And they embellish them when it's their turn to raise children.

When I was 14 I had a bunch of friends, ish, who would follow me and not leave me be. So I started telling them all sorts of shit. I told them I could read auras. I read their auras. i told them i could see ghosts. I described some ghosts.

Thick people believe anything you tell them. And they take it on board, and make a rule out of it.

Primitive man (and modern man) wants comfort from anxiety and fear. There are so many ways for him to die tomorrow, how shall he sleep through the night? If he can gain comfort from the idea of some bigger man watching over him while he sleeps, he can sleep tonight.

Look at a rabbit. That constant state of alertness. That constant adrenaline. Wouldn't you clutch onto anything that could allow you to relax?

I've already said: it's just a dream. we all get them. I've certainly had those kinds of stabbing dreams. Dreams are just your brain short circuiting in your sleep.

Humans created it all, stories. Like Abs said.

I'm actually a pretty good con man, when I want to be. I led my own little cult before.

                              They all drank the kool-aid.
