Seems to be getting a lot of press. Since most people are completely ignorant about the true history of such things, I will not comment. I am simply waiting for our current leadership to agree to pay this, then I am going to apply for my money.

Also........... in case some of you have done the research....... there is currently a twit trying to rewrite history. It seems to be just one guy whose college thesis is "the myth of the irish slave trade". But if you ignore anything with his signature, everyone else agrees it happened. AND there is plenty of historical court records of such dealings.

So....... anyone with Irish, and in fact Scottish or English descent, be ready when the hammer falls to apply for your money.

If reparations are to be paid then most everyone I the world will get paid. Hell, I was a legal slave by way of being conscripted into military service. Every country in the world has a history of slavery of some sort so why is the US the one that always gets picked on? Slavery is still legally continuing to this day in every Muslim country and most third world countries so I would suggest going after them instead!

My family owned slaves and after the War of Northern Aggression our property was confiscated. So yes, I feel, as their direct descendant, I should get reparations. Will the check come in the mail?
