I ordered myself one of these amazing little things today. I'm planning on turning my first one into an old school game emulator (I have an old PlayStation that I'm going to use to house everything).

Has anyone on here played around with one of these yet? They're programmed with Python and I'm kind of new to the language so any offers of advice would be appreciated.

I've got two of them.

One I made into a small laptop. It was alright.

The other I used to push a tv.

It's one of those things where you really need a use for it. The use will dictate what you do with it. Without a use it is just a small thing that you get frustrated with because you don't know what to do with it.

Im going to use one to control my solar power settings and readings when I get my homestead.

That's a good idea.

Another good idea Ive seen is storing them in a Plano, or similar make, plastic box. You can install I/O ports on the outside if you wish. Keep a battery to power it inside. Basically a portable solution if you want it.

Raspberry Pi, that's a cheap computer that you have to fuck around with to get it to work, right? Whatever, I bought a couple of RCA Android tablets for 50 bucks apiece at Walmart before Christmas. That's like $35 American.
