I took down my Rebel flag (which you can't buy on eBay any more), tossed the ‘Don't Tread on Me’ flag and peeled the NRA sticker off the front door. I gave the pit bull to my mother-in-law and stored my AK-47. I disconnected my home alarm system and quit the candy-ass Neighborhood Watch. Instead of all that silly stuff I bought two Pakistani flags and put one at each corner of the front yard. Then I purchased the black flag of ISIS (which you CAN buy on eBay) and ran it up the flag pole. Now, the local police, sheriff, FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, Secret Service and other agencies are all watching my house 24/7. I've NEVER felt safer.

    That should do it.

Did they ever sell the Bonny Blue on eBay? I never looked for it. You know, the first flag of the Confederacy? The one carried by Texas during the war.

I mean geez, North Virginia wasn't the only state in the Confederacy, ya know! Why are so many southerners hung up on a flag their ancestors didn't fight under?

I'm just a simple Canadian. What's the story of that flag?

          Edit: North Virginia?

^^Nevermind, I read up on it. I love history - there's so damned much of it. I didn't know the Republic of West Florida had even existed.

That's because it was never as important as Texas.

Seriously though, the battle flag of the confederacy was a battle flag of the confederacy. The Stars and Bars was by no means the only flag carried by the south. Why people professing to be so proud of their heritage don't know this is beyond me.

                  I have a theory.

                    Probably a contributing factor.

I had such a crush on Daisy Duke, until I grew up and learned to appreciate real women.
