Where my night vision goggles & backhoe ?

    Here's some plain bull-shit right here !

On the site of a long-idle dairy farm, leaders of a local mosque hope to build a final resting place for about 500 Muslim families — to the dismay of many residents of this quaint town in central Massachusetts.

Bury a pig or two on the land. Problem solved.

I'm not sure I get the problem. Nobody wants a cemetary next to them, but it happens all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if jewish and catholic cemetary plans get the same pushback.

"Muslims traditionally do not embalm bodies and bury their dead without coffins."

I believe those are requirements in many states.

Burying bodies without embalming seems right to me, no toxic chemicals. Not religion for me, I'd just rather no toxic embalming fluid in the environment. I believe embalming fluid is used these days because we take three days to bury a body and a body can get pretty gross in that time, especially in warm climates. There's no other reason other than to protect the fragile people from the horror of death. The Muslims and Jews have it right. Someone is dead, you bury them. You don't put them on display for three days.

Some here choose to be buried in the next state for that reason.

I think cemeteries are a waste of good land. No matter who fills them. I think it's an ancient practice that needs to go away. We should just all get cremated.

The only certain things in life are death and taxes, and since taxes will never be fun, you might as well try to make your death into something a little entertaining. While most people are laid to rest in a coffin, buried in an urn, or scattered somewhere memorable, there are plenty of other options for your remains. Here are a few of the most unique things you can choose to do with your ashes.Incorporate Them Into Bullets A true hunter shouldn’t let death stop them from killing more animals. Fortu...

Everyone knows that cremation is bad for the environment, so there are always more sustainable options for your funeral, such as liquidation or being frozen in liquid nitrogen. However Eternal Reefs has a more unique option - transforming people's remains into artificial coral reefs for marine life.

                            Totally agree with you.
I think cemeteries and graves are made for the living, dead people are... well, dead, what do they care?

Some years ago we had a slow summer at work so I was helping a buddy on the side to set some monuments and he also had a job restoring a large old cemetery. His father owned a funeral home and had more work than he could keep up with often and they paid well. They were choosy with who they would hire as they needed people that would be very polite and respectful of anyone visiting the graves of their loved ones.
