I lost all faith in humanity today

Tried to get Kentucky plates and ID.

First DMV told me I needed a bill that shows im receiving mail at the new address.

Came back, they said my address is served by a different DMV and gave me an address.

Second DMV turned out to not be a DMV at all, it was a Title Bureau.

Third "DMV" said I needed my SS card. Don't have one, but I have a notarized temporary I got from the SS office. Left to go get it.

Came back, they say my drivers license expired 2 days ago and I have to drive 20 miles to a 4th DMV to take a driving test.

4th DMV said, "This temporary SS card isn't acceptable, sorry." At this point I decided to go back to Ohio, pretend like I still live at my apartment just to get a legal license and renewed plates.

5th DMV, was right downtown Cincy, no parking unless you valet at a lot where they have to move 4 cars to bring yours back. Decided to go to one outside of town.

6th DMV was deep in the hood, waited in line for 20 min and became a legal driver again. I have no idea what state im registered to vote in and I have Kentucky insurance on my car now, whatever that is.

Anyways, I really dont think the world is going to become a better place within my lifetime if at all. The people who decide what our society is, are dumb as fuck and I'm afraid to waste my life thinking I can do something about it. We are all 100% doomed to die in a world worse than when we found it. Abandon all hope.

sounds as if your problems where all self inflicted...

no ss card........should of had corrected that at age 18 at the least....replacement; prolly need a birth cert....not a hospital peace(sic) of paper, a legal one from the clerk of courts/county seat etc.....your folks dropped the ball as well as you......

compounded, exponentially, that you moved to Ky w/o immediately pursuing getting your documentation/shit in order....

car not insured in the proper state per registration/wrong address will/could cause your insurer to drop you.....

Oh you're right, it's my fault, but the process I have to go through just to know what was required was very convoluted. DMVs in Ohio serve the state, you can go to anyone to register. Also in Ohio the DMV is the same place that gives you a license plate, in kentucky you have to go to the one for your county. In kentucky not all DMVs are the same, only some of them can give an eye test, only some can take yout photo and print out an ID. All the DMVs in kentucky have their own individual standards and regulations. It took 6 hours to accomplish nothing at all.
