    Anyone else watching Russia?

Russia deploys nuclear-capable missiles in Kaliningrad

Russia has deployed nuclear-capable Iskander missiles in its western-most region, Kaliningrad, which borders on Nato members Poland and Lithuania.

Poland said the development was of the "highest concern", adding it was monitoring the situation.

Russia's defence ministry said the new deployment was part of military exercises and had happened before......

Is Putin preparing for WW3? Russia begins evacuation of FORTY MILLION PEOPLE in huge drill

I'm not given to bouts of paranoia or scare mongering but I do feel a little uneasy about all this.

I haven't been following the situation closely but if I were in Europe I would be concerned. If I were one of the relatively weak nations neighboring Russia I would be very worried. Ever notice that Russia likes to take advantage of the weak that are close by? They haven't done shit about the Turks shooting down their plane.

They have advanced capabilities but don't have the ability or will to extend those forces to threaten a nation on the other side of the world or even against an advanced military power like Turkey that is nearby. They are probably concerned that the US may have a stronger leader next year and that is a given with how weak Obama seems to be so they need to secure their gains in Ukraine now. They may have additional gains in their sights for the short term but I wouldn't expect much.

I'm worried about every country, especially the biggest players in the game.

We're all interconnected now, we all have deals with others, I don't know.

We do the same thing. We smack around the weaker nations and do what we want, but when it comes to countries that can actually hold their own, all we do is posture.

I complain about it sometimes, when it's all over the news. However, I would rather see the endless posturing and proxy wars than a full on war with boots on ground either here or there. That would make for some very poor times in this country.

I think we should send in Chevy chase and Dan akaroid . They set the missles to launch into space. It's Kaliningrad, they zip in, zip out. No big deal

They do this every year. The one in 2013 involved 60 million people. Also, this drill ended two days ago. Settle down folks.

                      At least they hold drills.

Russia orders all officials to fly home any relatives living abroad, as tensions mount over the prospect of a global war

Russia is extremely nationalistic and may act more aggressive now that they don't have any buffer states.
