    They're coming

Truly bizarre, or cheap intergalactic stunt for the new Star Wars coming out?

    http://www.mnn.com/earth-matters/spa...g-distant-star

Scientists recently identified an irregular mess of objects orbiting a distant star that defies most natural explanations. What's odd is what astronomers have spotted orbitting it: an irregularly-shaped mess of objects that appear unnatural, possibly even alien

I wouldn't say bizarre. Fascinating, yes. Not a stunt for Star Wars. Even they don't have the budget to engage Kepler, SETI, the VLA, etc..

I clicked through to a paper discussing the anomoly. Possible explanations are a comet mass that got sucked in. But I kind of like the theory of alien objects circling. I hope that in my lifetime there will be proof of life outside this planet.

Isn't there a spot in the Nirth Atlantic where buoyant things gather, old boats, styrofoam, trash. And a lace in the Pacific where plastic(semi buoyant)items gather? Remember reading about a wall of plastic wrap in the ocean somewhere?

Seems like space would be the same thing. Hell the Milky Way could be the ashtray of the universe.

Would we know it if we saw it? We're not even qualified to say it does or does not exist.
