rover, I need a ground report.

Is snow sticking there yet and have you had anything measurable? What are your overnight temps averaging? I've been pretty spot on predicting our snow here, by what the jet stream is doing to you there in Oct and Nov.

Two storms moved thru in September, 7" then 13" of heavy wet snow, which we never get. It's almost always dry and won't compact into a ball. Then temps were in the 30°F most of the month. Most that stuff melted off.

Got 10" more in October, temps averaging around 20°F

Usually a it's around -20°F by now but I think its only been in the low teens a night or two so far.

I haven't hardly worn a coat till this week. It has been weird weather. The sun is doing some weird shit too, did you see the Northern light there any this week? They were predicted to be bisible as far south at Tenn. Virginia.

That's very strange for September. It has to be this El Nino nonsense. If I recall correctly, the same thing happened in 2012. You got early heavy snow and then the rest of the year was dry as shit. Or was that 2011?

No, I haven't seen the lights...never have. It's on the bucket list.

1994, 2004, 2012 and now 2015 bad early snows. Lot of trees down, power out for days, buildings collapsed.

High solar flare / CME activity this week. Lots of activity lately. Combination of solar activity plus solar winds is ideal for aurora hunting.

The sun had a sunspot explode on the far side the other day. The pics were cool.

I'm hoping this is a warm and snowless winter for me. If it snows as much as it rained this year, I will be buried
