    Paris Mass Attacks

Horrible. I got out of work, checked my phone - 19 dead. Got home 20 minutes later - 60 dead and thought to keep rising.

Multiple attacks, hostages. France declared state of emergency, closed all borders. Mobilizing military

French president Francois Hollande declared a state of emergency and closed all borders late Friday after terrorist gunmen opened fire at multiple locations in central Paris, killing dozens of people and taking almost 100 hostage at a rock concert.
Explosions also erupted at the Stade de France, the national stadium, where Germany and France were holding a soccer match, the Associated Press reports.

Explosions in or near sports stadium

People are opening their homes to those needing shelter, Hashtag PorteOeuverte (open doors/ harbor with open arms).

#PorteOuverte - helping people seeking shelter

Residents in Paris near the locations of the shootings are offering shelter on social media under the hastag #PorteOuverte

They burst in and started spraying bullets'

More from Rory Mulholland who is on the streets of central Paris:
One young man who gave his name as Hervé spoke to The Telegraph in the street near the Bataclan rock venue said he had escaped through an emergency exit.
"Three men with Kalashnikovs and wearing flak jackets burst in in the middle of the concert. There were probably around 1,000 people there. They just started spraying bullets. I saw a girl hit right in front of me. There must have been quite a few dead."
He said the men were not wearing masks and that they were in their 20s or 30s.

                First curfew since 1944

It is the first time since the Nazis occupied Paris in 1944 that there has been a curfew in the City of Light:

                Isil celebrates

Isil supporters have been celebrating the terrorist attack on Paris using the hashtag "Paris ignites".
An Isil supporter called al-Mouhed al-Tourkomani wrote: "Allahu Akbar…Allahu Akbar die with your rage, and explode with your defeating."
Isil has not, at this stage, claimed responsibility for the attacks.

For us, this will never end. Maybe generations from now will see the end, but we wont.
