A little of both. I'm not personally scared where I live (yet?). But I'm concerned for my family and friends who live in NY, L.A., near Washington, etc..

If we become frightened little buggers then they win. I have no qualms in saying 9/11 freaked me the fuck out. My childhood friend's husband was killed in the Twin Towers - he worked for Cantor Fitzgerald. The family was devastated. People from my hometown and surrounding areas were killed. 7 of my friends were in that area of the city that day. I was afraid to go out for anything but work. Convinced we'd be at war on our land. Not good.

Best to get out and live, it's a way of giving them the finger. One of the best photos to come out of this mess was this one, imo:

Austria is totally out of small arms for sale due to the attacks on women. I think about every woman in Austria is packing heat now.
I don't worry to much about it up here. The cold tends to keep the riffraff out of Alaska.

Just thought I would add that the latest murder of a woman at a car wash was done by two 14 year old boys, who threw her body in the car with them and got pulled over for wild driving.

Can you imagine the cop's face when he saw a dead woman sitting in the back seat of the car?
