Anyone else ever have these?
I started them yesterday after wearing a set that does nothing for a few weeks, to get used to them. So this set started the torquing. Today I friggin hate them.
This wasn't optional for me. I've always had a slight curve to my teeth, which I thought was OK in my youth. Figured I was "Hannah Honey" from the Rolling Stones' "Memory Motel". ..."and her teeth were slightly curved.. " Now it's not OK - my dentist said the teeth could start to chip or crack.
For anyone considering them...

Cons:
- You have to wear them for 22 hours a day.
- My plan will last for 2 years, 4 months. As the dentist explained, it requires a lot of discipline. Not my strongest point.
- You must remove the aligners to eat anything, then quickly brush teeth & aligner, and re-insert aligner. Drinking hot liquids like coffee not recommended with them in your mouth.
- I speak like I have marbles in my mouth and with a slight lisp now.
- Torquing of teeth kind of hurts (Aleeve). This should subside after 3 days of each new set. New set every 2 weeks.
- They put these 'attachments' on some of my teeth, which are like tiny buttons of bonding material. Hoping they can remove these fully in the end and get the shine back on my teeth. It etched the teeth. And, I feel like a freak.
- I didn't realize until yesterday that even when done, it requires wearing the final set as a retainer, usually every other night, for life.
- I can only chew with my front teeth until this is over. Steak, chewy anything... nope.
- Expensive. 5 grand.
- Really makes you think twice about eating or snacking, because it's a pain in the ass to remove them, eat, brush everything and put back in. So I'm thinking this will be a weight loss program too.
- They're kind of invisible. At least far less invisible than braces I guess.
- I never had real braces, hear they're a pain. At least I can remove these to eat, and fully clean my teeth
