World War I and II we in North America saved their asses. A million men served from Canada in WWII from a population of 10 million. Half the population was women (50,000 served), and the rest were children or elderly. We sent every able bodied man to save Europe from itself.

The US did more, taking on the Nazis in Europe and taking on and defeating Japan almost alone.

Then the Cold War. All of Europe would have been lost in a couple of weeks if not for the strength of America.
