Florida ain't a safe place. You're just not at the top of the food chain. We have the panther, large bobcats, black bear, wild hog, coyote, reports of wolves, gators, crocs, snapping turtles, three kinds of rattlers, moccasins, coral snakes, boa and pythons, black/brown widows, brown recluse, plus numerous stinging/biting/blood sucking insects, sharks galore including bull sharks up the St Johns. Also a small group of wild chimps in the Green Swamp, miscellaneous monkeys, skunk ape, and the worst blood sucker known to man, damn yankees.

I'll be in Florida in October. Can't wait. Of course, I will be on a small barrier island on the gulf side.

All you'll have to worry about is the sharks and crocs. And maybe the occasional swimming skunk ape.

the bride sees it quite often fighting with the tree rats at her bird feeders........
