She is up for parole but I sincerely believe that neither Charles Manson nor any more of his followers should ever breathe free air. Charles Manson has far more followers now than he had then and they are active in their denial of is involvement in any crimes.

I believe that his original intentions were to start a race war. He and his group were to lay low until it was over and then emerge to rule the world.

I don't really know enough about the case, but if all the stories are true, they are all where they belong.

I don't buy Bugliosi's theory on the race war, and others that were close don't either. He got the convictions though, which was a good thing. An interesting aspect is how close Manson got with the musicians on the scene like Neil Young, and was trying at one point to get s record deal. He had some cool songs, I found some on youtube. Neil wrote a little about that on the On the Beach album. Others musicians gave him a lot of flack because thry were afraid some whacks in dune buggies would literally "shoot them in their cars."

I've heard one theory that the killings were revenge. He was angry that he wasn't given that record deal.

Anyway, there are a lot of impressionable young people now who still swallow his bs. His former followers who are in prison denounce him for not admitting his part but some of them may change their tune if they get out. They say and do what they think will get them out on parole. We don't need them on the outside telling kids what a great guy Charlie is.

Can you imagine going to prison at 19 and you're still there at 66? You went from a young, pretty girl to a withered up looking grandma? What a waste of a life. They'd have been better off getting death

Some of them did get death I believe but when the SCOTUS ended the death penalty those sentences were changed to life. Charles Manson had two sentences changed so he had two life sentences if I remember right.

One of the women was dying of brain cancer and had other health problems including having lost a leg so she was released to die at home with family. I can see allowing something like that but only at the very end. A couple have died in prison.

When I was working in a special prison unit we had Bobby Beausoliel, sp?, stashed away in a max cell. Some deal with California Corrections. He was still active with music on the inside. He looked young for his age.

I think if they've done their time they should be released. They were a brainwashed bunch of stoners and they've paid for that. But not Charlie. He needs to be put down like a dog. He has some kind of hypnotic power and shouldn't be allowed to be alive even in prison.
