    It's beginning

    http://www.cbsnews.com/news/millenni...ng-generation/

Millennials, defined by those born between 1981 and 1997, now number 75.4 million, a hair's breadth past the 74.9 million baby boomers. Until this point, baby boomers, defined by those born between 1946 and 1964, have constituted the United States' largest living generation and have carried enormous economic, political and cultural clout as a result.

If you think arguing against gay marraige and climate change was a fight you could win, you were wrong. The next 10-20 years will be a major cultural shit when people currently ages 25-35 become active in politics. Either we will thrive as a species, or this will be when everything takes a turn for the worst. I'll leave you to your own predictions.

Ultimately, things will be roughly the same as they have been throughout human history. Ups and downs. It'll probably be that way forever, but we'll see what technology has to say about that.
This sig didn't cost me any money.

technology is the big mover now. currently we're paying a bunch of old guys that make decisions based off what makes them comfortable instead of whats needed. At least Gen X got a little taste of what America was before the internet and will carry the torch a bit. That's why I think the big shift could be 20 years away still.

Either we're going to liberal ourselves to death, or we will thrive. That's the only outcomes I see.

There's wallowing in mediocrity as an option, as well.

As noted, technology is the driver of change, as it always has been. Not any generation. Since the growth of technology is exponential, change is too. Changes in civilization- social, economic, religious etc. that once took centuries, then generations, now take mere decades and less.

What we see now is the biginning of a major shift in the developed world's way of life. Freedom to behave as one chooses will become more dificult and less important. The standard of living will continue to improve for all levels. Naturally, the higher the status the larger the gain.

Globalism is already realized for the west. The elites live in that sphere conciously, the plebes are being conitioned. The evils of nationalism, once a virtue, are mentioned in the state controlled media constantly, for our instruction. Our great president just preached it again.

Cool. It's just going to be a bunch of skinny armed faggots running around. Changing a tire will be an advanced mechanical procedure. Oh well, by the time the whole shit house goes up, I will be on the island. Fishing for a living and staying safely separated from the mainland douchebaggery.
