I think the GOP would rather run against Bernie, but I might be wrong.

I considered voting for someone other than the Republican party nominee back in 2000 but held my nose and voted for Bush. In the Republican primaries I voted for a true conservative but he had no chance of winning the nomination as the voters don't support those guys. We can blame it on the party all we want but if we vote for these guys we have no right to complain about them.

No it won't woods devil. It will be the party's fault for disavowing the Conservatives for all those years.
Get shit on and left behind long enough you get desperate for.someone to hear you or acknowledge you exist. Trump couldn't "fill the void" if the party hadn't left a void. So fuck them. Fuck the whole lot of them with barbed wire. The only thing the fat cat money men of the Republicans and the left liberal Democrat CAN agree on is that they hate Trump. To me that is his best endorsement.

I have always vote for true conservatives in the primaries but my preferred nominee hasn't won the nomination since 1980. So, I have voted for the party nominee because he has always been better than what the Democrats have offered but often not by much,
This election cycle there is a vast undercurrent of discontent among those who did not want or support Obama and Trump recognizes that so he speaks to those people. He says things that appeal to them and their frustrations.
There is another substantial undercurrent of discontent in this country and that is those who wanted and supported Obama but didn't get what they expected. These people were dejected and likely to sit out the election in large numbers rather than vote for Hillary. Now these people have been energized largely by the inflammatory rhetoric of Donald Trump but also by Bernie Sanders and his promises of a free ride.
You can boo hoo all you want but if we get another Clinton in the White House it won't be my fault. It will be the fault of the FUCKING IDIOTS that swallowed Donald Trumps rhetoric hook, line and sinker.

I think the Dems were praying for Trump to be the one because that will drive the voters out to stop him.
I also think the Republicans are praying for Hillary to get the nomination for the same reason.
"Stop Bernie" would not be as powerful a rallying cry as "Stop Killary", or "Stump Trump"
