No, it's exactly what happened. The Canadian acted like a snide little shit so the border guy sent him for further screening to fuck up his day a bit. I fully believe that the Canadian was being an arrogant prick before the recording started and so the tape sounds like the border guard got annoyed over a little smartassery from the travelers. When in fact he was probably pushed hard first, then they started the recording.

I see this stuff all the time. You see a tape of a cop "slamming" someone to the ground, but no one records the 10 minutes of the dirtbag mouthing off and refusing to comply or pulling away.

I was working near the border last year. My boss let me run over there to see it. The border guy saw me trying to shoot a picture of the international boundary marker, and asked me if I wanted to cross over. I laughed and said I was just looking. He was so cool. He called the Canadian side and they let me walk over and shoot pics of the "Welcome to Canada eh!" sign.

I know it was only one experience with crossing, but they were so nice and friendly.......


As I said, I am suspicious about the recording starting in mid conversation. And it seems like some of it might have been edited out. *The bit about him being told to sit down repeatedly, he talks about it, but the recording doesn't include it all (or doesn't seem to)
