That's all I've got right now.

    You people don't own me.

All I know is it involves guns and shooting. In Texas. So that's odd right there.

While we're waiting, do Eskimos grow vegetables? They must have a growing season up there.
        I don't know.

Not traditionally. There are some greenhouses up there now. But in the past it was just foraging for wild berries and such. And for the most part it still is.

I couldn't do it. I'd go nuts. What would drive a people to live without tomatoes?
              I don't know.

It was a busy time for them, the few months the cold let up a bit. The tundra burst into life and the Inuit had to get moving. Migrating caribou herds moved through their lands and they followed them. Geese flocked in by the millions and promptly molted so they couldn't fly away for a time. Arctic Char moved up the rivers to spawn. The seas opened up and they could hunt whales. It was a food bonanza, but just for a short time. They had to cover hundreds of miles to harvest as much as they could and bury it in the permafrost for times of scarcity. No time for tomatoes. summer is meat time.

Don't get me wrong, I like tomatoes. But if it's a choice between a tomato or a caribou haunch, goose breast and char fillet... well, fuck the tomato. I would pick the tomato over muktuk though.

I think Austin's okay mostly. The news networks had breaking news with no details at 5 in the morning. I guess they didn't want to get scooped by someone else if another Dallas or Orlando was unfolding. News networks suck. All of them

Meat's great, but I like living where I can have both. I'm not being critical, just stating a preference.

                      And what about potatoes!
                      I don't know.

Yeah, they said one guy's dead.

Are there any famous Inuit explorers? People that traveled and reported back that there were green places with sunshine and carrots?
                        I don't know.

I thought that was the Vikings?

Unfortunately it didn't work like that. The Inuit were latecomers to the North American party and all the prime real estate with the sun and the carrots were already spoken for. Luckily they found seal eyeballs to be yummy, so it was okay.

I don't know if Vikings liked carrots, or not? Maybe it's reported in the sagas.
